Acceptable use policy

What short links, QR codes and Bio pages on this site may and may not be used for.

Last updated November 2026

SHORTxtra — Demo makes short links, QR codes and Bio pages. To keep the service and its domains safe for everybody, every account accepts this policy.

Not allowed

  • Phishing: pages that pretend to be a bank, a shop, a government office or any other brand to get passwords, OTPs, card or UPI details.
  • Malware: links to viruses, spyware, ransomware or unwanted apps, also inside APK, EXE or ZIP files.
  • Spam: links sent in bulk to people who did not ask for them, by e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram or social media.
  • Scams and fraud: fake jobs, fake loans, fake prizes, investment or lottery frauds.
  • Content that is against the law, including child sexual abuse material, and content that infringes the rights of others.
  • Hiding where a link really leads: chains of short links, or links that change to a harmful page after they were checked.

Every new or changed address is checked against our lists and, where switched on, against Google Web Risk and URLhaus. Links are checked again from time to time. A link may wait for a check, show a warning first, or be blocked.

What we may do

We may block a link, a destination domain or a Bio page, or suspend an account that breaks this policy, without notice when people are at risk. You can ask us to look again by writing to demo-owner@getxtra.in.

Anybody can report a link on the report page. We look at every report.
